The Indian animation and visual effects industry have witnessed exponential growth over the past decade fueling the need for trained industry-ready manpower. Our 3 Year Program in Animation & Media Studies is a perfect fit for students interested in pursuing careers in the media, entertainment and other related fields. Our customized course curriculum covers a wide range of subjects in both animation as well as media studies that will help students have an added advantage of seeking jobs in Digital and Print Media Publications, Advertising and Public Relations Agencies besides Animation Production Companies.
Along with animation related subjects like VFX (Visual Effects) game design, graphics, web design, video editing and more, our students will also be taught the animation-related aspects of journalism, advertising, web multimedia, broadcast design, entrepreneurship, brand licensing and copyright laws.
The course has a mix of theory learning as well as hands-on practical experience and the faculty comprise of current industry experts and veterans with proven competence. The Institute’s ‘Academic Partner’ for the program is Frameboxx 2.0, a premier academy for media and creative arts. Established in 2008, Frameboxx 2.0. is a versatile conglomerate that focuses on providing training in computer graphics and animation.
Mr. Rajesh. R. Turakhia, founder and chairman of the company brings over 20 years of domain experience. Frameboxx 2.0 has trained over 18,000 students since its inception.
On completion of the course, students will have updated knowledge of industry level software tools, the digital and graphics aspects of news media and advertising industry and a ready portfolio that showcases their work to prospective employers. Students will also have ample scope to put their learnings into practice through our internship programs. The program begins in July 2023.
We recommend students enroll for the B.Sc. (Media Graphics & Animation) by YCMOU. The same will be facilitated and supported by the team at Lexicon Institute of Media & Animation. The B.Sc. (Media Graphics & Animation) has been approved by UGC. The university Grants Commission has granted recognition to the YCMOU under section 12 (B) of the UGC Act which makes this university at par with any other statutory university in India. Further, the degrees awarded by Open and Distance Learning institution (including YCMOU) are treated at par with those by conventional universities. YCMOU was established on 1st July, 1989 by Act XX of the Maharashtra State Legislature.
